Is it possible to continue to tiling to the ceiling after handover? Our build thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=70984 Re: Floor to ceiling tiling at a later date 2Oct 23, 2014 4:39 pm Its not a big issue there's just a couple of things you need to keep in mind. Make sure you get the same tiles, as soon as they arrive on site grab the box with the codes and go straight to the tile shop they come from so you make sure you get tiles from the same batch. The same tile from a different batch can vary in size and shade. Inform the tiler you plan to finish tiles to the ceiling after handover and ask if he can set out with that in mind. You don't want to end up with a 20mm cut around the top. Keep in mind the thickness of the tile and how it will work with the cornice. Looks pooppy if the tile is way thicker than the cornice. Re: Floor to ceiling tiling at a later date 3Oct 23, 2014 5:01 pm I agree with above but purchase the tiles at the same time as the builder. We did exactly the samething tiling out bathrooms and were able to order extra tiles through there supplier at the time we chose the tiles. Less chance of getting different batches this way! Our build thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=70984 Re: Floor to ceiling tiling at a later date 7Oct 26, 2014 11:06 pm We were told by our builder to get the square set cornice for our floor to ceiling tiles. Can you specify that for your bathrooms? That would make it much easier for you to do it later on. Re: Floor to ceiling tiling at a later date 8Oct 31, 2014 10:00 pm I've been told that it will affect your warranty as they must do the wet areas..
