However, staff from the tile company encouraged me to choose floor tiles for shower wall. citing compatibility in colour. I'm now pretty confused. Could someone please shed some light on this? But a wall tile is generally a less dense biscuit and is used walls only. Also there are factors in the difference in glazing but no need to go into that here. Yes you can use the floor tiles in the shower walls without a drama. Just make sure they are not heavily textured as this makes them a nightmare to clean - for both wall and floor. Do note that even though the batch in colour may be the same for the wall and floor (as you are using the same tile) you will find the wall being a touch darker as it gets a different light source.
