This is my first post so be gentle with me!!
My family & I moved into a new home last year (new to us - built about 4 years ago).
The bath has one of those plugs that pop up when you press it to release the water and stay down when you press is again. A couple of days ago it stopped staying down. I've looked on the internet for ideas on how to fix it but have come up empty.
I've unscrewed the cap part so I can see the mechanism but it's not obvious to me what the problem is or how I can solve it. Can someone please point me in the direction to fix this?

I'm not sure how to get the plug assembly out! As it's in a bath there is no easy access from underneath. I can only see from the top and there is nothing I can see to unscrew or pull or however to remove it.

hello, jim from roundbathcompany here, the klikdrain popup mechanism unscrews from inside the plug
1=remove top chrome plug
2=look at top of klik mechanism where the thread starts,there should be flat sides,
to take the klik mechanism out use a spanner or small shifter and
remove by unscrewing whole klik mechanism in an anti clockwise direction,you can instal a standard 40mm rubber plug to continue using the bath
and take klik mechanism to a plumbing supply shop or send me a picture and I will try to identify it for you

Thanks for your reply. I went to a plumbing shop on the recommendation of a work colleague - they gave the same advice as you and for under $10, the problem was solved!!
Bit of a worry as a previous plumbing store and hardware store didn't know how to sort this out!
