Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Jul 27, 2014 8:37 pm Hello! I'm thinking about redoing the bathroom in my place. The shower waterproofing is leaking and as its an old house there's floorboards under the tiles. So its all going to come out and start again from scratch. I've got a space of 1.7m wide by 3.75m long. Ideally I would like a stand alone bath under the window at the end of the room but if it works better elsewhere its open to being moved. A stand alone shower, toilet and vanity are also meant to fit in somewhere. Shower can be over the bath if it works the best that way. I would really appreciate anyones ideas about how to fit everything in design wise. You could put the shower next to the bathtub (don't have a standalone tub, build it in) then have a glass showerscreen seperating the bath/shower space from the rest of the bathroom. I'm suggesting that because it's what we needed to do to get a bath and shower. One thing I also did was map out the size / dimensions of the bathroom so I could SEE for myself, what width the bathtub would be, how much space would it take up. The door opening into the bathroom like yours had to be taken into account as it cut down on the space I had available. Stand alone tubs are great if you have bathrooms much wider than yours. Can also be moved anywhere in the room Im open to all ideas at the moment. Just trying to work it all out in my head G'day I'm trying to put in some privacy screening on my rental rooftop on a tight budget. I've already invested about $500 in the supplies for this.
