Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Jun 02, 2014 8:05 am Hey we saw a really nice feature in a display house that we'd like to recreate: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ We were looking at doing a larger run of this to separate the our bathroom and the master bedroom, I think in all it was a 2.5 meter run, a corner and another 1 meter run of it. We got a quote from the builder.... *drum roll* ... $5436... yup the old "we don't want to do it price". So I'm pretty handy with timber, a nail gun and some stain so it that's all that's required here? Would the timber need to be protected at all from steam, moisture? Would the stain need to be anything special so it doesn't run if it gets steamy from how shower? I've already checked with the builder and the price does not reflect any changes to make this a non load bearing wall and they are happy to build the room without the wall for us to install after handover, so it is 'just' the wall we are talking about here.
