Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 May 21, 2014 10:55 am Hi everyone! My mum lives in an over 50's retirements community and has her own little cottage. The bathroom she has is very small and only has a shower, sink and some cupboards and then a little laundry area. She's mentioned a few times that she wouldn't mind having her bathroom redone so that she could have a shower over a bath - she's always been a big 'bath person' and in the 5 years since living there she really misses it. But she doesn't have a lot of money as she's on her own so she's not looking to do anything too costly. My question is, can anyone give me an idea on what it might cost to have her bathroom redone? I'm not talking a whole remodel or anything extravagant, but I'd love for her to get that bath she desperately wants! She lives on Brisbane's north side if that's any help at all. Any help or ideas would be hugely appreciated. Thanks! Re: Small bathroom reno HELP! 2May 26, 2014 5:01 pm Hi Punky, with most retirement villages you have to get permission from the village corporate to do any changes to bathrooms etc, and they may have set people that she is only allowed to use. Have you/she checked into this aspect of it yet?
