Which one is easier to clean? which one is more durable and stain resistant? Thanks Belinda Re: Stone or solid surface for bathroom benchtops 2Feb 08, 2014 10:24 am I have stone in my current home and have put stone through out the new home we are building. -I have found it to be stone resistant, I haven't have any stains in 4 years. -Heat resistant, great for sitting the hair straighter, hair dryer and hair curler on. -Easy to keep clean I haven't really found any downfalls of stone. Some people manage to get toothpaste and makeup over everything and if left on a stone or solid surface may stain it forever. I am thinking we might go with a quartz stone. It will be neat but you won't have much freeboard. At least they are not weep holes. Are you in a high intensity rainfall region?
