He trimmed down the floor joist's to create the run off angle and used a full width grate ate the wall end. He didn't use a membrane or cement screed. Ant comments on this method ? They way he seems to have done the job by trimming joist's would be a lot more work than a sand cement base to work the floor levels. Most bathrooms that are on timber joist have cement sheeting as base there are many names and brands but all the same stuff but you still need to waterproof as normal.
