Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Sep 07, 2013 7:16 pm Hi, We have just had our floor tiles laid - we chose a coloured grout to match the 'cappucino' colour of the tiles. I noticed that the colour of the grout (pretty sure it's all dry - has been 24 hours) is quite variable - dark in some areas through to light. We used a Kerakoll presealed grout product. The tiler did the first round of grouting, but then knocked off for the week - then when I had a look a few hours later, the grout had holes in many places (assuming it had shrunk), so I thought I'd do a second application. I'm assuming the problem is me and my inexperience in anything to do with tiling. Not sure how noticeable it is to someone who would just walk into the bathroom, but it doesn't look great to me. Can anything be done to make the colour more uniform except regrouting? I'm guessing running a third coat of grout over is probably not a good idea? Thanks I hope this help you newhome_24, AS3958.1 is the Ceramic Tile Installation Standard. It specifies the tolerances for the installation of tiles.
