Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Sep 01, 2013 8:59 am Hi I need some advices. My new house is almost completed and due for practical completion next week. I have border Glass mosaics (rectangular) shapes running on top of 1 metres white tiles all around the bathroom, e suites, 3 wc and 2 powder rooms. The problem is the builder's tiler had done a terrible job on laying the mosaics. Some of the corners of the border mosaic was sticking up and some were sinking. I have not checked all the wet areas but I believe if they can get the mosaic in bathroom right then the mosaic jobs on the rest of the wet areas must be the same. I mentioned this to National Homes's building supervisor and he said the tilers haven't done a good job and it is very expensive to fix it and very hard to lay mosaic tiles right. Well, I have paid for it and I expect to have at least a good job done on the mosaic regardless of the difficulties in laying the mosaic tiles. Have anyone had the same problems ? Please advise whether I can get those mosaics fix fix ? Thank you Re: Terrible mosaic don by National Homes 2Sep 01, 2013 10:11 am Don't put up with it. If they have done a bad job stand your ground and make them fix it. It doesn't matter how hard or how much it will cost them. They had a feature tile line that ran around the kitchen in about the middle of the wall tiles and the job was pretty bad. Some of the tiles were actually cracked and also the issue of them being uneven. He was persistent, took photos and hounded them until they re-did the tiles again. I remember that it took a long time and a lot of chasing on his part but eventually they came through. Good luck.
