Bathrooms and Laundry

I wanted to find out if people have any opinions on gloss laminex vs natural finish laminex for the sides of a wall hung bathroom vanity?
I have chosen Nocturne Oak and hadn't realised gloss was an option but now that I know it is I wanted to choose the right one!
We are teaming this up with a matte sand coloured tile on the walls and a lappato sand coloured tile on the floor, the vanity top will be an off-white slightly flecked solid surface with undermount basins.
How does gloss vs matte hold up over time? For - look, water, scratches, and makeup stains (I have VERY pale skin and always put pale foundation all over everything I touch...)
I thought the natural finish might suit the look of the bathroom more (I think the gloss may actually look a bit cheaper in this dark colour), but that the gloss might be more hardwearing for makeup stains (though might show general fingerprints more in the sunlight?), but gloss would be less hardwearing for scratches?? (though to be honest how often do you scratch the sides of a vanity).
Any opinions and/or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!!!

Gloss laminate looks lovely but shows streaks, water marks etc. You need to clean it with windex. So if you don't want to windex it everytime you brush your teeth, wash your hands etc don't go gloss. I'm talking the diamond gloss, maybe the ordinary gloss is not so bad?
