Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Jul 23, 2013 12:13 pm Thinking of putting a freestanding bath in our ensuite if it will fit and not look silly. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ There is about 0.6-07m between the bath and the vanity I am not sure if this is enough room or not. The 2m wall would most likely have a "window" in it that would have wooden bifold shutters or something like that so you could open them and give the impression you havent lost any space... sort of like this Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Any one have any ideas how this would look H1 Thread - viewtopic.php?f=31&t=61557 Re: Ensuite Design Help 2Jul 23, 2013 5:22 pm Hmm, I think it will be a little cramped with the 600-700mm gap but the idea is great. Can you push the bath and wall surrounding it back into the master suite a little more? Re: Ensuite Design Help 3Jul 23, 2013 6:15 pm Thinking if I can get 1m between the vanity and bath it would work a treat H1 Thread - viewtopic.php?f=31&t=61557 Re: Ensuite Design Help 4Jul 23, 2013 6:40 pm There's gotta be a better way to do that layout.... I'd try to mix it all around before I'd accept that strange S-shaped room... What about if you put the toilet where the bath is going (behind wall and door obviously), then you'd have a nice open room - you could maybe have the double vanity along the window wall with the shower and bath against the far wall?? Not sure if that would all fit, just thinking. It didn't have a bath in it though. Looking for opinions between putting a freestanding bath there or a built in spa. Re: Ensuite Design Help 8Jul 25, 2013 11:16 pm A 0.7m gap would surely be too narrow if one person was at the sink and another wanted to pass them to get to the toilet or shower. The whole arrangement doesn't seem ideal to me as the path around the vanities seems to waste space and close everything in too. I would prefer an open area in the middle so that the room feels bigger. I also wouldn't like the long, indirect walk to the toilet when I'm in a hurry, or in the middle of the night in the dark! I love the look of freestanding baths, but as AKB said, I worry it would be awkward to clean behind them when placed near a wall and that spiderwebs and dust would accumulate. If you're not dead-set on keeping the existing layout, I would consider ways to place the bath in the centre of the bathroom - allows cleaning around it, looks gorgeous and would make the bathroom free much bigger - unless you like walls close around you in the bath and shower? Thanks for the suggestion. The space between shower and sinks was too tight. I agree about the toilet location. So I have tried two other options: The lower one is… 3 6128 the step up is 30mm and wanting it to be flat . how much does the concrete have to be lowered .we plan on removing bath and lenghten shower and adding seat. the old bath… 0 11828 |
