Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Apr 16, 2013 10:56 am I'm currently sourcing wall hung bathroom vanities...I have found a few pefect ones but none that I can get without tap holes (we are wall mounting our tapware) Has anyone sourced any online for a reasonable price? This is what I am after - 3 x 600mm (one for the main bathroom and two for the ensuite). All white with a round bowl. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Thanks. Re: Sourcing Wall Hung Vanities (Without Tapholes) 2May 14, 2013 8:53 pm Hi "gonecountry", how did you go? Find what you were after? I've been looking for something similar. Having found a gorgeous yet cheap glass basin online I'm looking for the vanity to put it on. Also want a standard vanity with built in basin but no hole. I've looked in lots of stores and been told that I can get it (or anything) custom made of course, but the cheaper units from China all have tap holes. Our plumber sort of talked us out of wall mounted tapware so I don't need vanities without tap holes now. Going with the one pictured in my original post, they will do a round bowl for us (all white) Re: Sourcing Wall Hung Vanities (Without Tapholes) 4May 15, 2013 11:21 am Our vanities will be without tap holes as all taps are wall mounted. They have been installed on the walls, just waiting for the stone tops and the sinks to go on. Maybe if you cant find what you want, a kitchen joinery company should be able to make them and then use a stone offcut for the top. I just posted a comment to you in another thread like 2 mins ago. Yeah it's fairly easy to get them made up it's just that you save so much money on pre-made(?) ones online. When you're custom building you have to source it all yourself... Yes you can have them easily custom made but one off vanitys cost a lot more than pre made. I charge around $580 for a custom 2 door vanity with the stone top extra. But you do get a far better quality board, construction, hinges and paint finish. I have just installed normal Grohe mixers but next time I want to install wall mounted taps, unsure if I use a mixer style or wall tops. Re: Sourcing Wall Hung Vanities (Without Tapholes) 8May 17, 2013 8:28 am JB1 - firstly he said not many people do them anymore and also if you have problems with your taps or you want to replace them completely it will wreck your tiling behind...something like that. Heaps of people are still doing them! But I do agree that if you have problems with them that you have to remove a tile or two. Not to hard if you keep a few spares. Just cause it's not as popular doesn't mean it's not as good. I'm kicking myself that I didn't install them in my new house. If it's a mixer, then it's similar to a shower mixer and you can change the cartridge. I'll prob go for a 1/4 turn ceramic disc wall tops. You can replace the wall tops with any style wall tops you want in future. Of course if you want to replace them with a different type of tap you'll have to retile, but by them you'll prob renovate the whole bathroom anyway. Re: Sourcing Wall Hung Vanities (Without Tapholes) 11Jun 26, 2013 12:41 pm I definitely want wall-mounted mixer taps in my bathrooms and the reason is that I hate cleaning. We currently have the old style of faucet with a tap (i.e. the knobs you turn) either side and mold grows around them and it's hard to clean around them, behind them and in the joint. So I figure with wall mounted, water drips into the basin - all smooth surfaces to clean I need to replace some lengths of aluminum shower frame but I can't seem to find any suppliers of this stuff.
