Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 May 21, 2013 12:23 pm hi ,new to posting .we just had our bathroom renovated and installed a wall hung vanity, well supposed to be wall hung.i rang the builder as i wanted to speak to the plumber as there are visible pipes coming up from the floor and they are ugly.this takes the entire bathroom concept idea that i had away.the builder stated that i cant have the pipes inside the wall due to a beam or something and have opted to go through the floor without consenting me first, can this be fixed as whats the point of a wall hung vanity with pipes showing,he said he could cover them with stainless steel but that doesnt really help? Anyone have ideas? Thanks Re: wall hung vanity with exposed pipes 2May 21, 2013 12:34 pm Is it a stud wall or a brick wall? There could be a support beam behind the vanity but I doubt it. If its all tiled and finished there isn't much you can do now. Did he mentioned this to you before doing it? Re: wall hung vanity with exposed pipes 6May 21, 2013 5:28 pm Your best bet is to make a narrow tiled kickboard set in 100mm from either end of the vanity and the depth of the pipes. Tile it in that same as your wall tiles and it should blend in.
