Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 May 01, 2013 7:25 am We are about to start renovating our lovely 80's bathroom, can anyone give advice on layout ideas? We would like a separate bath and shower rather than the existing shower over bath and try and keep the existing drains in the slab if possible, if we have to move them so be it. The room size will be 2800mm X 2400mm Now, Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Planned, Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Need help with bathroom 4May 01, 2013 10:04 am The finished toilet space between the vanity and wall should be at least 800mm and the shower should be 900 x 900mm minimum preferably 1000 x 1000mm. Also don't forget that standard baths usually only come in 1525 and 1675mm lengths so work your shower space around that ( unless you are going for a non-standard type in which case buy the bath then build the shower wall accordingly ). Stewie Cheers stewie, the toilet should be fine, it's mainly the shower and bath combo, personally i don't care about the bath but the mrs insists we have it mainly for re-sale. Re: Need help with bathroom 6May 01, 2013 10:37 am Two options. First, this keeps your WC where it is and makes use of the existing waste points. Unfortunately the toilet will need to stay where it is due to the expense to move it. Thanks for your input.
