Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Mar 27, 2013 8:33 am Hi helpful members, I'm about to install a wall hung vanity in a bathroom, but given it's wall hung I can set it at any height I like. The vanity has an undermount sink. In the kitchen we recently completed we made the bench tops 950mm, but I'd like to get your thoughts on what is the "normal" height of a vanity, and whether you think we should go a bit higher than normal. Thanks for your help Re: What is the standard vanity top height 2Mar 27, 2013 9:05 am Check out the standard height of floor mounted vanities and see what feels comfortable. My husband is taller than me and prefers a taller one. I am short so we had to compromise. I've just measured my new floor mounted one at 88.5cms (special order). If you plan to sell your home in a few years, you may go for a standard height. When we were looking for an investment property last year, I noticed a few homes where the sinks were very low (older style)? Re: What is the standard vanity top height 3Mar 27, 2013 10:52 am Vanity tops are usually set at 850mm, kitchen and laundry benchtops at 900mm. If you have an underslung basin this would be fine but if you have one of the newer sit on top type of bowls you may want to drop it down a bit. It just comes down to personal preference.
