Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Apr 21, 2008 11:35 am Hi everyone.
We are currently trying to decide about the basin that we want in our bathrooms. We have basically found the style of basin that we like but have found 2 different versions of it, and the prices are quite different. The first basin below is the more expensive basin at about $250 each. The second basin is much cheaper at $90 each. As we need 4 of these basins in our house this makes quite a price difference for the bathroom fixtures. Is there anything we should be looking out for with the cheaper basin? Apparenty it is an imported basin (not sure where from). Any thoughts/help is greatly appreciated. The seconfd one seems to have an overflow outlet, I'd go with that one. Choose the product and then look at the price. Re: Advice about Basins 3Apr 21, 2008 12:56 pm The taps aren't included in the price. We will actually be choosing different tapware to what is pictured.
Both basins actually have an overflow outlet. On the cheaper basin it is at the back of the basin under the tap, on the more expensive basin it is located on the front side of the basin. We actually prefer the cheaper basin, but are just concerned as to why it is so much cheaper. Versaloc is a mortarless besser block system that still needs a properly engineered footing.
