Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Mar 08, 2013 12:59 pm Hi guys I have been shopping around for tapware and really liked the Dorf Jovian range. Unfortunately the price of Dorf tapware is astronomical and I really do not have the budget for it. I have come across an alternative tapware supplier, which manufacture taps with similar style to Dorf. They're called Ottimo, here's one of their taps: http://www.highgrovebathrooms.com/index ... &Itemid=18 More can be found on this website. For the equivelant Jovian style tap to the one shown in the above link, you're looking at $2500. Does anyone have any feedback on this tapware? Is it good quality? Has anyone ever implemented it in their homes? Re: Ottimo tapware - feedback appreciated 2Mar 11, 2013 8:23 pm Hi Chrip Firstly, you do tend to get what you pay for. In my opinion, and this really is just an opinion, I would rather go for the cheaper version, as the dearer competitor does not outlast the cheaper version by 5 to 1. I have not used that particular tapware, but have purchased similar, and have found them to be very reliable units. The chrome plating is on brass, and this is a great finish, requiring only minimal care. The thing to keep in mind, is aftersale service and spare parts. This is where the dearer options are way in front, but remember, for you to need spare parts, the thing has to break first, and I have not had one break yet. I'll stop rambling now. I would buy this unit. Cheers Bohl Bathrooms BSA: 67641 ABN: 89 250 897 460 Ph: 0437 528 563 Fax: (07) 5577 2173 bohlbathrooms@ymail.com Thank you fro your response, Simeon.
