Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Feb 06, 2013 3:14 pm Hi Everyone, Sorry in advance for what is possibly a dumb question but we are about to buy a toilet for our extension. We are going to get a wall faced toilet and we are also getting tiled skirting in the ensuite. I just realised that a wall faced toilet needed a flat wall to go against so what happens to the skirting on the wall the toilet is installed against? Does it have to stop on each side of the toilet? How would that look? Most of the photos I can find have the toilet installed on a fully tiled wall. Re: Skirting for Wall Faced Toilets 2Feb 06, 2013 9:30 pm It looks absolutely fine in my opinion. We have just had it done - back to wall toilet with the skirting tile either side of it (the tilers originally tiled the whole skirting and when we advised them the toilet had to sit flush against the wall they removed a few of the tiles and then after the toilets were installed, they re-tiled). I can take a picture of our toilets showing the tiling tomorrow if you like? We only have the one row of tile skirting.
