Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Jan 16, 2013 10:51 am Hi all, In our latest design we have a second storey at one end of the house, it has 3 bedrooms intended for kids. There is 1 single toilet room, 1 single shower room, and a bathroom with a bath and basin. The bathroom is next to the toilet, so you would wash your hands in there. It is possible and relatively easy to make the bathroom a bit bigger to add an extra shower inside the bathroom so that there are 2 showers on the 2nd storey. Do you think this is necessary with 3 kids? Are there water pressure issues if both showers are used at the same time? (A bit of extra info, up the other end of the house the master bedroom has its own ensuite, and there is actually a bathroom with bath & shower nearby for some specific reasons/home office. So if we did put 2 showers upstairs the house would have 4 showers including the ensuite.) Re: Would you add an extra shower in this case? 2Jan 16, 2013 11:07 am I probably wouldn't bother with the extra shower. Are you able to put in an extra vanity outside the bathroom where the people using the toilet or shower have access? That way if one child is lounging in the bath another can pee, shower, clean their teeth and apply makeup at the same time. No fights! Regards, Grumbles Re: Would you add an extra shower in this case? 3Jan 16, 2013 11:12 am Yeah that is one issue I was thinking of, it at least needs somewhere to wash your hands if you use the toilet and someone is hogging the bathroom.
