my question is we are renovating our bathroom, and our new vanity is situated about 1meter from our old one. currently there is a hot and a cold male threaded connectors where the taps were screwed in. Now we are going to install mixers, and I want to know if it can be done that insted of getting a plumber out to add 1 mt to the copper piping, can we just tape the thread and install 1mtr flexible pipes through the wall and uto the new vanit mixer? look forward to replys and thanks in advance Grant Re: Flexible water pipes HELP please 2Apr 09, 2008 8:32 pm Welcome to the forum!

The flexible braided hoses are not meant to be taped... Check the inside, there is a washer which is the seal. By taping the connection you are chancing that some tape may bridge across the rubber seal...
