We have purchased a house that has an attic room and apparently a plumbed bathroom. There is a showerbase but nothing else, they have plastered the walls - but we have been told that all the plumbing is there. Its a really small space with a sloped ceiling (2mx2m). I was wondering what sort of price would we be looking at to turn it into an ensuite. Not after top end stuff just nice, modern. We will be living there for a few years and then renting it out so just want to get an idea of how much and whether its worth doing it. Also I had read on a previous note about pipes in internal walls - hadnt even thought about this but they prob would be as i hadnt noticed any pipes on the external wall. So am i looking at 2,5,8,10 grand? And would i need to get a permit for it (the wall isnt on the plans but the real estate agent and lawyers informed us that they dont need a permit for an internal wall - but does this change if we add the fittings for a bathroom?
