Along one wall of the shower we're getting a small "bench" built, I don't have the plans with me right now, but IIRC it's something like 550mm high (low enuff to use as a step for shaving your legs etc, yet high enuff to be able to be used as a seat / rest for when we're (much ) older and only about 250mm wide, again, enuff for being able to shave legs / sit on, yet as it's only "knee-high" you still get the full width of the shower for the rest of your body. Mrs P_D's elderly parents are still living at their home and we have had to get them a shower-chair for her Mum, and so we're looking ahead to see what features / designs we can unobtrusively build in our new home that will be useful as we age and this seems like a great way of killing many birds with one stone !! This will also allow plenty of room for shampoos / conditioners / treatments / protein packs / body wash and whatever else Mrs P_D keeps in the shower !!! P_D .
