Can you please clarify cos I am challenged when it comes to understanding building. Re: Shower Recess - is it possible in apartment?? 4Nov 22, 2012 10:05 am well if you are building from new you just add another layer of wall and put the niche in that so 3 layers. if you are wanting to renovate then u would lose space doing this. not quite sure what you are up to considering you mentioned an apartment? We are renovating the apartment. The builder says that the bricks are old and he is concerned about damage and so he didnt put the shower recess in. yes it is possible but watch for noise transmission, decouple as best you can. Maybe wider top and bottom plates with 70mm studs to allow the cabinet to be recessed fully 1 6636 You can wash over existing pavers with 10% solution of water and hydrochloric acid, then wash off. The acid will provide for required bond key with new concrete. 1 36960 |
