Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Oct 14, 2012 1:43 pm Hi, Im a newbie on this forum, and also a complete reno idiot; please be nice thanks! I have a question about adding a bathroom out in garage. There is currently no bathroom, or plumbing of any sort in the garage. Would appreciate if someone could let me know if its possible, or highly unlikely. Should I get a plumber in to do a site survey, or can this definitely be done no problems whatsoever? I have the sewer diagram for the property below. The blue square is the garage, and the red square is where I am planning to put the bathroom. The red lines are where the sewer would connect into the current sewer on the property. The garage is on concrete slab - can I drill through this to add the toilet? Will it be costly? Or can it be run out the back wall and into the ground at the back of the garage? The land the property is on slopes to the rear (the garage is out in front). The slope is about 10%, probably not more than 15%. Its a fairly gentle decline. Thanks for any replies!!! I am thinking of buying a 1950's house with a detached tiled roofed garage (6.5 x 3.9) . I want to convert it to a studio typed area for my son with a small shower room. Any advice much appreciated and if Flioe gets an answer, let me know!!! The trickier issue becomes drainage for a bath/shower. Probably the easiest solution is to put the bath/shower on a raised plinth so you don't have to break out the floor.
