We have recently had stegbar install mirrors into our bathrooms and splashback into the kitchen. Unfortunately the splash back was cut incorrectly around the power points. ( the guy doing the measuring blamed the sparky saying the power points are always installed prior to splash back installation - wtf??)
Anyway, today they arrive to install the recut splash back but wont install until they have a cheque. So now we have an issue, I'm at work and I control the money. I will not pay until I have inspected and am happy with the job. The issue we are having is that there is a 6-8mm gap between the tiles and the mirrors and Stegbar says it is their policy not to silicone around the mirror as moisture will get trapped. Well, without the silicone moisture will get in there anyway. I have asked them to fax me a copy of their policy - I'm sure I'll be waiting for it.
I have attached pictures of the mirrors and the gaps. Does anyone hear have flush mount mirrors and are they siliconed?
