Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry Re: Laundry Sink 2Aug 12, 2012 1:36 pm You can get small ones that just mount in the bench (like a kitchen sink). There is sometimes a brace across the top of the cupboard so that may restrict having it on the left or right hand side but you could cut it. The middle of the corner may be better if you want a larger one. I've got a round one, looks great. I hate bending right down into the big tub (back breaking) and I only rinse a few delicates (they're not real big).. Re: Laundry Sink 3Aug 12, 2012 2:23 pm Round sinks work perfectly in corners like you have. Dont worry about the cabinet bracing below. Just cut it out. If not, using kitchen sinks opens up more possibilities. We ended up using a wide kitchen sink that isn't as deep as a laundry trough and find not needing to reach in a bonus (besides in effect having a second kitchen sink, converting the laundry into a butler's pantry of sorts). Either way doesnt matter...just get it plumbed in underneath the cabinetry...both the taps and the outlet...much neater Re: Laundry Sink 8Aug 13, 2012 8:17 am sceen7 Im guessing you have a top loader? Either way doesnt matter...just get it plumbed in underneath the cabinetry...both the taps and the outlet...much neater Spot on. I personally hate kitchen sinks in laundrys. They are far to shallow. Most kitchen sinks are only 180mm deep where most laundry bowls are around 250mm deep. I put in a 500mm round stainless Everhard bowl that is 270mm deep. We love it. Allows us to put a full sized bucket in to fill up and allows us to soak stuff with pleanty of room.
