Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Jul 15, 2012 1:48 am Hello I currently have polished floorboards on my bathroom floor. I've been advised the floorboards isn't the best option for the bathroom and have decided to tile the floors. I'm looking to save $$$ and I am considering pulling out and reinstalling the toilet myself rather than having a plumber come out twice and pay two call out fees (i'll be getting a professional tiler to do the tiles). My query is, once I have pulled out the existing toilet, the tiles have been installed, my toilet will sit about an inch higher and i.e. the toilet flange will be too low. How does one reconnect the existing toilet if the toilet flange is too low? Can i extend the flange somehow? Any advice would be much appreciated.
