Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Jun 28, 2012 1:39 pm Given an equal choice between Raymor or Kohler branded basins, which would be better? We don't know either brand, or it's quality. Apart from the design/style I would guess it doesn't matter, but perhaps someone has some comment on it. Re: Bathroom Basins - Raymor vs. Kohler 2Jun 28, 2012 9:39 pm Kohler are a long established foreign brand and raymor have been making cheap stuff for the same period of time @builderforlife Building inspector and passionate about construction When you need an expert to take a look. Re: Bathroom Basins - Raymor vs. Kohler 3Nov 04, 2012 2:09 pm The only thing I know about Raymor is toilets of that brand which I've used would never flush properly, both toilets in the same house, needed at least 3 full flushes to get a bit of toilet paper down. That alone would steer me away from the brand. Re: Bathroom Basins - Raymor vs. Kohler 4Nov 07, 2012 1:51 pm Kohler is a long established American Company with factories in the USA and China. All product is made to their own designs. It is now exclusively distributed by Tradelink in Australia. Tradelink also have their own in house brand called Raymor. The product is generally made in China (or similar) and is usually an off the shelf product from a generic factory that has been rebadged "Raymor". Personally, I'd NEVER buy a generic Chinese toilet. I've seen lots of problems with them across many brands. Replacing a toilet in a home is a big deal if you get it wrong. Choosing between the two, I'd go for Kohler, which is much more expensive. Have you considered Caroma or Fowler (same company)? They are mostly Australian made products (unless you choose their cheapie range) and they flush well and parts are never going to be a problem. Try and buy parts for a Chinese toilet that may or may not still be imported in 10 or 15 years time. Render your bathroom walls, two opinions versus the one, makes you wonder. 3 6064 Hi Geoff Install Puddle Flange prior to any screed.
