HI,
We have not been in our house very long but the diamondgloss benchtop in our laundry has already peeled away at the underside join along half of the benchtop length. I only discovered this when I could no open the cupboards as the laminex was in the way.
Obviously I will be making our builder fix this at the maintenance period but I have noticed that the joins underneath on a number of our benchtops have a gap where you can see the inside material of the benchtop.
I was just wondering if anyone knew if this was standard practice as I am not worried that any water that hits that could make the laminex peel off.
I can't say I have ever seen laminex benchtops come away, let alone in a brand new house!!!!!
The kitchen makers who put in all this stuff appeared to not be very good as we had a number of issues with the cabinets and benchtops when they first went in with cracks and not being fitted properly.
Am starting to wonder how long they will even last.
