Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 May 22, 2012 10:16 am Hi helpful members, We are renovating our main bathroom, but it is only small being 2.4m x 1.8m. We need to have a bath in there as it's the only place we can have a bath and this is something we cannot do without. It will be a shower over bath so there will not be a seperate shower. That leaves us with not a lot of room for the vanity and toilet. One of the options is to have a 900mm vanity, and have it sitting against or very near the bath / shower screen. I know the risks of having the vanity so close to the bath, but we don't have any other real options (except the option below). The second option is to have a 800mm vanity. I suspect this will be hard to find and might need to be custom built. So would you have a 900mm vanity up against the bath / shower screen, or do you think a 800mm vanity would be big enough for a main bathroom. I'm sorry I can't post pictures of the layout, but any thoughts you have would be appreciated. Re: Vanity size - what would you do? 2May 22, 2012 11:01 am I just googled 800mm vanities and there are quite a few on the net ... have a look around. Here's a pic of our bathroom reno and we could have had a larger vanity but went with smaller which was perfectly big enough ... If there is a 750-800mm that does the trick, go for it. At least you can put in a 900mm if necessary (more variety/range with 900mm I think) 2010, June : Land bought (1700sqm, battleaxe block). That's it so far! We're in the design phase .... All of the ones in this particular shop were the wall hung type, for free standing they seemed to be 750,900, 1200. Bought in Nov 21 at the height of the market (classic).
