Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Apr 11, 2012 8:39 pm Hi, A friend of mine is doing a laundry reno, and the place she went to (can't recall where sorry) advised her that she couldn't have laminex benchtops in her laundry as the dryer use would make it bubble. Is this true? Anyone experienced this, it sounds a bit bizarre to me - but I'm not a dryer user.. Thanks Re: Bubbling Laminex in a laundry?? 2Apr 13, 2012 6:19 pm It may be possible that the heat from the drier may melt the glue used under the laminex, but I highly doubt it. Best thing to do would be to ring your local Laminex distributor or talk to a cabinet maker. There is know harm in asking. Laminate tops that are installed properly will last a long time in any kitchen or laundry.
