Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry Re: Hobless showers and full height tiling question (WA) 21Jun 27, 2012 10:48 pm We did a double length hobless shower and I love it. Sorry for the poor quality photos from my iPhone This one is a double wide shower. We elected to install a shower screen (to keep the water contained), but our builder told us it was completely optional. The tiles are floor to ceiling limestone. Here's another picture - single shower hobless - once again we elected to install a screen as we didn't want the water splashing all over the room. They did mention we could put up shower rail but then the powerpoints had to be placed in the cupboards. Option then is either have frame or completely frameless ($1100)! - I don't want a door fullstop! Re: Hobless showers and full height tiling question (WA) 23Aug 31, 2012 1:03 am We are going hobless for our showers and it was no issue at all. Our ensuite will have no door but is about 1400 long. As long as the space is correctly designed, the whole bathroom should be waterproof anyway?! Not sure about full height tiling cost as it was all included from the start when we were discussing costs. We have just had a house built and it was no problem to change to a hobless shower. Two of our showers dont have doors and that wasnt a problem either. Calibre is set size tolerance on a batch. You should find this information of the side of your wall or floor tile packaging. Cheers This is the current bathroom with a european laundry.
