Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Mar 26, 2012 8:07 pm Hi, I stumbled across the forum whilst searching for answers and thought i would seek an answer to my predicament. I am renovating my shower/bath area, toilet and vanity areas (3 areas joined but doors in between each). I already chose my new vanity, toilet and bath to which are all white with chrome handles and all the mixer taps, shower head, spout etc are also chrome. My wife has chosen a 200x200 medium grey matt tile for the floors to add contrast and white tiles for the walls to which will go up to 2000mm high from the floor (i have 2400mm ceiling), i could go the full height but i'm not quite so sure. The trouble is the wall tiles. I have been given the choice of 200x200, 300x200 or 400x200 for these white tiles but i am not sure which one will look the best to match the 200x200 floor tiles. I could go even larger but maybe these will be too big. Please, please, if anyone could give me some advice it would be so much appreciated as i have been doing my head in for weeks with the tile selection. Any suggestions about any of the tiling would be great. Re: Bathroom Renovation Help 2Mar 26, 2012 8:17 pm my vote would probably be for the 200 x 300 The Harder You Try - the Luckier You Get ! Re: Bathroom Renovation Help 3Mar 26, 2012 8:54 pm Personally I think it's more pleasing on the eye to keep the grout lines between floor and wall tiles in line, I'm guessing the tiles will be above the vanity? If the bench height is around 900mm you could use 200 x 300 laid vertically, this will keep a nice grout line between floors and walls and end up with a perfect line through the vanity top. You could then tile up to 1800mm or 2100mm just below the top door architrave. Re: Bathroom Renovation Help 5Mar 27, 2012 5:57 am M parents did their bathroom with 200x 300 wall tiles to go with the 200x 200 on the floor. The wall tiles were laid vertically and they look fab! This is a very tight fit, I'm not sure if you'll be able to achieve what you've described. Would you consider accessing the separate toilet from the laundry?
