Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry Re: 2pack in the laundry 2Mar 08, 2012 1:04 pm You can have whatever you can afford and want. No-one has the "right" to tell you what you can do in your own home. Do you want and can you afford 2 pack? Are the rooms close to each other and therefore continuity is important to you? Is there another option like laminate / vinyl wrap that you like and would be happy to live with? Choose what YOU like - you are the only one that has to live with it day in day out. Some things are worth waiting for. 2pack in the laundry 3Mar 08, 2012 2:32 pm I think we have 2 pack in the kitchen (no joins) but for the cupboards in the private hall way we went with laminate as it was much cheaper and having a quick look at it it looks exactly the same as the kitchen (unless you look closely you can't tell). We also have laminate in the laundry and bathrooms but it's a patterned one black hacienda but had we continued the same colour as the kitchen we would have also used laminate. The difference is about $800 to laminate the laundry as opposed to 2 pack. That's a lot for us when budget is getting away. Is it worth getting 2 pack in a bathroom? I am not really fussed, just want something that will wear well as we may end up having to rent it out. We have been quoted a lot more than that to go from laminate to 2pac so we dropped it. Oh well.. maybe we will have 2 pac throughout in our next home. Re: 2pack in the laundry 6Mar 09, 2012 6:02 am We didn't bother in the bathrooms and laundry. If I had upgraded it would have just been for CS benchtops in both. If you are trying to save $$ it's an easy on to leave as laminate Re: 2pack in the laundry 8Mar 18, 2012 12:46 pm makfin Did anyone find that 2 PAC and vinyl wrap where similar in price? Does that sound right? We have small kids and worried about 2 PAC chipping. 2 pac is around 15-20% more expensive(for the doors only) than vinyl wrap. The old 2pac chipping thing again. Pay peanuts get monkeys! A proper 2pac finish will only chip with a good hit. A cheap 2pac will chip looking at it! My builder tells me the vinyl wrap would only be about $500 cheaper than 2 PAC for the kitchen and bathroom. Does that sound right? Do you rate vinyl wrap? A good 2 Pac finish should cost around $90-100 per square meter to the kitchen company. Its vary hard to know the quality of finish your going to get unless you get a sample from them. Yep $500 sounds about right. For the record I hate vinyl wrap in kitchens and would never use it myself! 2pac will not have any trouble with heat and can be repaired and resprayed if damaged. Vinyl can have problems with heat and cant be repaired. I just found out today the certifier has not given the final sign off. 2 3131 Hey all, Hoping for some inspiration for my bathroom laundry combo. The tiles are in good condition, as is the bathtub.
