Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Mar 10, 2012 9:15 am Hi folks We are looking to replace our existing over bath shower screen with one that is a bit wider, as the current one allows too much water to escape. The current one is 40cm, abutted to 40cm of tiles coming out from the corner of the shower, so a total of 80cm of "protection". We'd like to add another 20cm to this, so are looking for a fixed screen of 40cm+ swinging section of 20cm. We've had a look around at a few places and haven't come across anything with those dimensions. Is this a very non-standard size? Would we need to get a glazier to do a custom job? Is this likely to be much more expensive than getting one off the shelf? Re: Over bath shower screens 2Mar 10, 2012 10:24 am Hi ctrunfree, I'd just take a trip to my local shower screen shop, they should be able to help you. They may even send someone out to measure up. With normal showers, if you're having frameless they will have to measure, as the walls often aren't square. Re: Over bath shower screens 3Mar 11, 2012 5:05 pm Drawer a picture of what you are after and then fax/email it to glass suppliers for a quote. You will soon have a number of prices to choose from. With small jobs you are better to give the tradesman as much info as possible to quote from so he doesnt have to come out just to quote. How do I pipe a double vanity? I am installing a new vanity with double sinks. Do I use 2 P-traps, one at each sink? Or just one at the wall pipe? Do I use 2 P-traps, one at each sink? Or just one at the wall pipe? With my double basin vanity I used 2 P-traps and connected them into a T junction then to the floor waste, like this one from Ikea: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ You can also get a double basin connector and connect two bowls into one S or P trap like this one: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Personally I prefer the idea of 2 separate P traps because I think it'll give off less smell. You need to reference the manufactures installation guide, your supplier may have strengthened the base where it is not required to sit on a bed. 1 1825 Hi everyone.
