I am in a quandary regarding bathroom renos. Wondering what the consensus out there is!
We have an ok sized bathroom (shower over bath and long vanity) and the tiniest ensuite ever (tiny shower, toilet and tiny corner basin.) Both need renovating.
The ensuite is about 2m x 2m. It is completely not functional (in my opinion!) in that there is no storage, no room to dress yourself, put make up on etc. It is standing room only. I have looked into "small bathroom designs" but even with a corner shower, floating vanity etc - I still don't think I could use the room as I want to. I am seriously considering ditching the shower all together, keeping a toilet and decent sized vanity with storage and calling it more "the dressing room" rather an ensuite. Thoughts?
Now the bathroom. We currently have a shower over the bath (Im ok with that, though realise others aren't. Not alot of room for a seperate shower - however if I got rid of the ensuite shower I would want to work a seperate shower in somehow, just for future buyers sake. (Our house will appeal to either older couples or young familes - so I think a seperate shower and keeping the bath is a must.) We could maybe do a "wet room shower" alongside the bath - a la Josh and Jenna's ensuite on the Block, though it will encroach on the already limited space. Again would love some ideas!!
Thanks for your opinions - what would you do?
