Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Mar 04, 2012 4:09 pm Hi all, We are renovating our very old and ugly main bathroom soon. I have two questions I am hoping for help with please. Q1: Currently the toilet is in its own room (with sliding door) within the bathroom. We are going to knock out the walls of the toilet so it is incorporated into the main space. This means we can also change our dark and grotty old three wall, one sliding glass door shower into a two wall, two glass wall/door shower instead. With the current configuration, we have a three-in-one light in the bathroom and a downlight in the toilet. Once the space is opened up, would you remove the downlight and reposition the main bathroom light into the centre of the larger space, or leave as is? The switch for the toilet light is within the toilet room and is separate to the panel for the bathroom light. Q2: Has anyone used or know of the Estilo brand of fittings and fixtures sold at Bunnings? They are remarkably cheap (which obviously worries me off the bat) but looked okay when I examined the display units in store. Any advice please? We want to replace everything as it is the original thousand year old bathroom and it needs an injection of life! Thanks! Re: Light position and Estilo brand questions 2Mar 12, 2012 6:29 pm Hi Shaezy, we went to Bunnings today and seen these toilets, we are looking for a cheaper back to wall toilet to replace the standard included toilet which seems really low. We seen the Estilo closed coupe for $150 and another brand Mondo for $250 back to wall, both seem okay although small outlets at the bottom of the toilet. They are cheap compare to the ones on Ebay etc. however it is just a toilet! I am not sure what could go wrong with the cheaper ones? Light position and Estilo brand questions 3Mar 12, 2012 10:35 pm We have estilo shower heads and mondo kitchen mixer tap, been using for about 10 months so far and all good, very happy with them and price was less than a third of what we thought we'd have to pay for style we wanted . Re: Light position and Estilo brand questions 4Mar 29, 2012 8:27 pm we use the estilio stuff in our rentals, its all stood up so far, if you like the look of it why not. I doubt the fancy stuff i put in my last place added one dollar to its sale price. Thank you. That is really helpful. Once we get the place done and passed for OC we can upgrade in the future once we get back on our feet and not paying mortgage and rent. 4 5744 I am in a difficult situation. Long story short I have been handed over my brand new home in Sydney with everything in the house being great except the windows that were… 0 960 Thanks for that!
