Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Mar 01, 2012 8:30 pm Hi, can somebody please clarify whether the control buttons for the spa bath should be close to the entry point of the spa bath or on the side furthest away? Our builder has put the bath in place, but not secured there yet, with the buttons on the furthest side, so that you would need to be in the bath to operate it. My current house has the buttons on the side where you enter, so that it can be turned on prior to entry. Which is correct? Thanks. Spa bath question 3Mar 01, 2012 8:52 pm Ours are on the side closest to you before you get in but I wish they were on the other side, my three year old loves to push them so we've had to turn the spa motor off outside. my new build thread- Ben Trager https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=89826 my switch build thread (2011) https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=36569 Re: Spa bath question 4Mar 01, 2012 8:55 pm Ha ha, thats really funny! You made me belly laugh! Mine are attached too, I suppose I'm really asking if the bath has been put in the wrong way around. My sister said her controls are on the side of the bath furthest away and she finds that ok, but to me it seems a bit weird that you would have to reach right across the bath to turn the thing on? Am I wrong? Re: Spa bath question 5Mar 01, 2012 9:05 pm Haha. . . Ours is a corner spa, so I don't think even the stoopidest plumber could put it in the wrong way. . . Although ours did knock a hole through the wall in the wrong place . . Derr! I'm guessing you have a normal bath shape spa huh? Do you have a model number? You could google for an installation manual. ?? Re: Spa bath question 6Mar 01, 2012 9:14 pm The controls are usually on the furthest side. Just wondering, why do you turn the spa on before you got in?? 3 3564 Bathroom renovation will likely include a back-to-corner bath and we’re considering a freestanding tap with hand-held shower such as the picture included.
