Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry Re: In floor bathtub? 5Mar 09, 2012 9:37 pm I have to agree with previous posters. I have young kids and the thought of giving them a bath down that low makes my back ache thinking about it. Would be really difficult to hold young children in there and to be lifting them in and out. Not a problem if you don't have young kids but it may adversely affect the re-sale appeal if potential buyers have young kids or are thinking of having kids in the future. Just editing as I also wanted to add, the people who use a bath the most are young kids. Young kids in general tend to be bathed more than showered so the bath gets used A LOT. Families with older kids or couples without kids at home are more likely to only use the bath on the odd occassion. Therefore for someone looking to buy a house, if they've got young kids or are about to start a family a practical bath is quite important.
