Hi,
I have my heart set on the Laminex Seductive Limba Crystal Gloss for my laundry benchtop. I know that quite a few people have used it for cupboards and back panels of island benches, AND I also know that Laminex dont recommend it for benchtops, I'm guessing that is due to the risk of getting scratched easily.... BUT I currently have a gloss laminate on my kitchen benches (not crystal gloss) and it still looks good after 5 years. I was told I would regret using it, but I have had so many compliments, and many people think its solid stone at first glance.
I guess I'm fairly careful and dont cut or drag things along the bench but it has had normal wear and tear. And I doubt I will use my laundry bench for anything other than folding clothes, (if I do I will just have to put a protector on it).
My question is this, will my cabinet maker freak out when I tell him I want this as my benchtop? Will he allow me to do it? Will I regret it in the longrun?
regards, NN
