Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Feb 15, 2012 1:09 pm Hi hoping someone can help me with any building code requirements relating to this as I can't seem to find what I need. We are renovating out bathroom to include a toilet aswell. Currently (with no toilet) there is an exhaust fan that vents into the roof space (colorbond roof). There is NO window. I came across somewhere that implied that by having the toilet in the bathroom and with no window space, that there must be a ducted exhaust fan. Does anyone know for sure or can direct me to the right place? Thanks so much! Re: Regulations for exhaust fans in bathroom? 2Feb 16, 2012 3:05 pm I gather that is the case, as we have a guest toilet, and the choice was either a window, a skylight or an exhaust that vented it outside. I chose an OdourVac so you don't actually see an exhaust vent.
