Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Feb 08, 2012 3:27 pm Hello All, We are in the process of renovating (Sydney) and are getting the main bathroom and en suite done. We have had a costs of $20K labour only for both. Total area of tilling for the main bathroom is 29sqm2 and the en suite is around 28sqm, this also includes removing a wall in the en suite to make it bigger, strip down of current bathroom /en suite, villa board, waterproofing, install of new bathtub and toilet in main bathroom, reposition of the toilet and shower in the en suite. All the tilling and lights etc.. Please let me know what you think of the above price ? The above price is only for labour and does not include any of the fixtures, fittings or tiles. to me it seems very expensive, as i was thinking it would cost around 10k for both. P.S if you know anyone in Sydney who would be able to do this please PM me! Many thanks Shot Re: Bathroom Costs 2Feb 10, 2012 2:22 pm As a plumber, Id say $20G is quite expensive. My tiler charges me around $2000 per bathroom. Labour for the plumbing can vary, but thats usually around the $2000 mark per bathroom although it really does depend on the situation If everything is in the same position it will obviously be cheaper than re-positioning all your fixtures. First floor renos are more labour intensive than ground floor renos on a piered building. Ground floor renos on a concrete slab where everything is relocated are more expensive than a reno on a piered floor. Sorry, I misread your post and edited mine accordingly. Re: Bathroom Costs 3Feb 10, 2012 6:53 pm Hi vvs mand, Thanks for your reply back The Bathrooms are above the garage so access to the pipes is easy as they are all exposed. The costs you have put down is what another tiler has said. P.S if you know a good tiler in sydney would you be able to PM me the detials cheers! Shot I am not sure whether Perth has its own way of doing things in regards to this. Most of Perth has class A (sandy soil), except for some areas near rivers or hills. 2 13099 Looking to tile the facade pillars rather than rendering.
