Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Jan 31, 2012 12:10 pm Hi everyone, I am considering having a black and white colour scheme in my ensuite after seeing this in a tile shop The bottom tile is just plain black and would be the floor tile. The majority of the walls and skirting tile will be the white tile which has white lines running thru it. The other black tile is a glossy back and has white lines thru it as well (they are fairly subtle). I was planning on having one wall in the shower in this tile as well as possibly having it between the vanity and mirror. What should I do with the cupboard and benchtop? Should I have light cupboard and a dark benchtop, or dark cupboards and a light benchtop. The lady in the tile shop suggested sticking to either black or white but I would prefer to cupboard doors to be a little interesting, so something with a pattern would be good. I really like Laminex Brescia but not sure if it will look ok with the black floor. Here it is in a display home with a similar scheme but with a white floor This is the swatch from the laminex website Any advice would be greatly appreciated Our custom Gemmill Home in Bedfordale WA Build thread:https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=53788 Timeline on page 1 Laminex/Formica suggestions for a black & white bathroom 2Jan 31, 2012 1:45 pm Hi we are having black and white also. I would have white vanities which will really make the black tiles "pop" - otherwise you run the risk of diluting the effect if you add another colour/pattern although I do like it ... it's entirely your preference as to what you "love"!
