When I knock on a few of the tiles on that wall, it sounds hallow. The ensuite only has a skylight. No window in it. A second building inspection is on its way to see just how big an extent the issue is. From the original building inspection: Skirting and Architrave Ensuite door jamb and architrave, operational defect, swelling evident from the water damage and roughly patched. (This is recommended to replace for cosmetics) Tiles Ensuite shower walls, operational defect, areas of grout deterioration and some drummy and cracked tiles. (This is recommended to regrout) Bathroom shower wall some drummy tiles. Damp Issue Bedroom 1 (Master bedroom) wall adjoining shower, operationg defect, high moisture levels evident indicating some water leakage is occuring. (recommended reseal shower) Just wondering if this is a shower water leakage issue and would require reparing the shower? How much would this type of work cost roughly? This is 100% true.
