Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Jan 17, 2012 5:03 pm Hi All, I'm a first time poster here, so forgive me if this question has been asked before. We carried our a major renovation to our house in 2004. About 18 months ago, the bathrooms upstairs began leaking (main bathroom and ensuite - shower area). The builder has been good, and has tried to remedy the situation, however after our project, he got himself a full-time role with a residential building company. He simply doesn't the time to fix our leak. He has however, made a claim on his insurance on our behalf. The said insurance company has agreed to pay for the repairs, and requested us to find a suitable builder to rectify, and that's why I'm here. The works that need to be carried out include, removing of the existing tiles, replacment of the F/C sheeting under, checking the deep flooor joists and surrounding timber flooring for signs of water damage and /or rotting, and replacing as neccessary, re-waterproofing, tiling, re-installation of shower screens, and then repairing the plasterboard ceilings downstairs, the architraves, and re-painting. It's not going to be a big job....just really fiddly. The other thing.....the mosaic tiles we have are no longer available. These may need to removed and replaced with something available (approx 8 sqm). I don't particulary want to "throw a dart" at the yellow pages. I'm hoping someone out there may be able to recommend someone. We live in Winston Hills, Sydney. Hopefully, someone can help, Cheers, Taps. 4 6816 This is the current bathroom with a european laundry.
