Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Jan 19, 2012 12:48 pm We are wanting to completely gut our bathroom and have it redone in a more modern style than it's current lime green & outdated style. I was wondering what sort of ballpark figure I would be looking at to have it completely fitted out & whether anyone had any recommendations for tradies in Adelaide they have used before? It is not a big bathroom by any means (2.7m x 1.8m) - has bath, shower & vanity currently & would be looking to do the same again. I am hoping that a budget of $10,000 will do it, and am happy to do whatever I can myself to help things along (ie pulling tiles etc). I have also heard of people going to auctions & wholesalers to buy their own tiles, bath, vanity etc to save some $$. If anyone could answer any of my questions (with my limited information) it would be appreciated. Cheers Re: Bathroom Renovation Questions - Adelaide 2Jan 19, 2012 3:09 pm Hi McReidy, My son and dil had their bathroom completly done and had an extra toilet put it for around $11,000. They had a company from down south which managed the whole thing from start to finish but I don't remember the name but it ended up being pretty hassle free for them. They did save some money by having the bath resurfaced rather than replaced. Don't know if that helps. The bathroom was very high spec and I was surprised by the bargains I got. The tiles were beautiful polished porcelain from a tile place that was closing down. Our vanity space was very narrow so I had to look out for something appropriate for a long time and was very lucky to find a very modern but classic style at beaumonts on sale one day. The shower screen was through stan bond, mirror ikea. We sold our house recently and everyone through the door commented on how lovely thE bathroom was. I had 4 rooms tiled and quotes from tilers (not including tiles) ranged from $22k to $8k, so just make sure you get a few quotes The plumber had a hard time removing the old bath so your plumbing may not be that expensive. Good luck its a hard process but lovely at the end! I recently went through a similar renovation and move scenario when updating our family home. Would you consider accessing the separate toilet from the laundry? If so maybe… 1 11205 Hello Josh, This is Irving from PRIMA, we are a manufacturer of the staircase, railings, kitchen cabinets, windows, doors from China. If you have requirement to purchase… 0 5419 |
