Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Jan 10, 2012 1:45 pm Sorry if this is in the wrong place! A place I have fallen in love with has a green ensuite. Technically, it would be considered quite hideous by some people, but me? I love it! It's got an olive green toilet and basin (which admittedly I would change, mainly because the toilet is currently an old single flush one, and I'd want dual flush), the wall tiles are a paler olive green with some tracings / embossings of a old Vogue-style woman in gold on some of the tiles. I LOVE that. It's SO dated, but I love it. Being in this bathroom makes me feel like I am ensconced in a jade / lime cave. Anyway...what colour accessories and towels and bath mats would work with this though!? The only thing I can think of is cream as the majority, with some gold trimmings somewhere, and some wood / timber accents. I am not generally a hugely bright colours sort of girl. I like naturals, neutrals, stones, glass, woods, etc. Any ideas? How the hell did I become a senior member!? I know nothing! The easiest way to modernise the space would be to change out the green fixtures, which you said you would do anyway. This will add a nice splash of white to the room to brighten it up as well. It sounds like you have quite a vintage style tile as well so a more traditional white basin or a pretty, traditional pedastal basin could look lovely. I'd add accents in lots of white and cream, and maybe a touch of charcoal grey and a touch of brass or antique style gold. An ornate antique gold coloured mirror could look beautiful against the green. Add some pretty artwork which incorporates all your colours, and you could even include a little stool in a pretty coordinating fabric, or a nice roman blind if you have a window. Green bathrooms aren't too common but I did find a couple that might inspire you... http://pinterest.com/pin/265008759292817253/ http://pinterest.com/pin/265008759292817250/ http://pinterest.com/pin/265008759292817249/ You should post some pictures for us to see Anna Ethos Interiors is a fresh and creative design firm, specialising in online interior design services for clients all over the world. http://www.ethosinteriors.com.au Re: What colour scheme works well with a green bathroom? 4Jan 18, 2012 8:02 pm Grace.....are you still going?
