Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Oct 19, 2011 8:31 pm Hi.... This is the layout for a combined bath and laundry to be built in a granny flat. The room is 2m x 2.435m (internal dimensions). Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ I'm a little worried about the wall with the door washing machine and laundry sink. Even with a slim sink it will be cutting it fine and may require a smaller profile 720mm door. I can't help but think that there could be a better layout to make better use of the space? Any suggestions welcomed. Re: Best Layout for Small combined Bath & Laundry 2Oct 19, 2011 9:03 pm could you make door a slider, that would give a bit more space. you can swap door to other side.can you move plumbing if yes maybe move toilet next to shower would there be enough room for WM and sink where toilet is at present. Re: Best Layout for Small combined Bath & Laundry 3Oct 20, 2011 9:25 am A slider was on the radar, but they're quite expensive and time consuming. The fixtures can be moved as the plumbing has not been done as yet. Re: Best Layout for Small combined Bath & Laundry 4Oct 20, 2011 1:24 pm I would not bother with a trough at all just get the plumber to create an outlet for the washing machine water and make sure that the hand basin is large enough for a bit of hand washing. Have done this and seen it a few times , works fine. Re: Best Layout for Small combined Bath & Laundry 5Oct 20, 2011 9:01 pm Thanks for the input. It's definitely something to consider. It will make the bathroom more spacious as well... I guess not a lot of people use a laundry tub anyway and even if they do it's not often. Will have a word to the plumber and see what they think. Thanks for the suggestion. The space between shower and sinks was too tight. I agree about the toilet location. So I have tried two other options: The lower one is… 3 4559 Possibly both depending on the sizing. Idea of working from the centre is that you dont have a 20mm thin tile at one end and a 400mm at the other end. A quick search on… 3 6203 You never have a fridge against wall as you’ve drawn. The doors can’t open past 90 degrees and it’s difficult and maybe impossible to remove drawers 2 8157 |
