Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Aug 31, 2011 1:49 pm Hi all, I live in Melbourne and we've had a very wet winter, and mushrooms have started growing in our shower. Additionally the walls in the bathroom have started 'bubbling' paint (which scratches away to the wall). The bathroom is pretty well ventilated, not amazing, but not badly either. I'm just wondering are these things a result of a wet winter, or something more sinister going on in the bathroom with regards to excess damp etc? This bathroom was part of an add-on done on the cheap by the previous owners, our main bathroom (original part of the house) has none of this symptoms, just a little mold. Does anyone have an insight? Thanks Re: Mushrooms growing in shower and excess damp 2Sep 02, 2011 12:25 pm Are you serious? Mushrooms? I have never heard of this before.......
